Principles
Our principles have largely evolved from our project experience, and is used to regulate how we operate our company. We present them here to help give some idea to who we are, and what type of services we attempt to deliver.
Repetition
Our consultancy focuses on a small subset of the challenges of large infrastructure projects, related to project development and funding. As an example of how we apply this: Virtually zero of our revenue is from writing Norwegian grant applications, even though we are well able to do so. Having a focus and repeating this work for and with large customers brings quality to the work.
Keep innovation practical
A danger with innovation projects is that you try to bring something new through adding complexity that does not help solve the problem. Regretfully, advanced models or approaches are often a path to approved applications. We focus on how we can both get the projects approved, and have a practical project implementation.
Design for the long-term
When we deliver project design and grant applications, they are written with long-term implementation in mind. We administer approved Horizon and Innovation Fund projects, and understand the long-term consequences of that we write in the proposals. Much of our work is done for customers and partners that we have worked with for many years, in part because it is never only about getting the application approved. It needs to be approved and of high value after approval.
One customer per segment
We work with customers that have intellectual property that is sensitive. Also, we are a lightweight operation, that do not have many customers. For both these reasons it has made sense for us to have one customer per market segment, where we often build relationships for many years.
