Project funding
When you are developing a process plant or a new type of vessel, you are met with a new set of requirements and opportunities. On the one hand you need to comply with carbon regulations, often paying increasing levels of carbon taxes. On the other hand you are often eligible for co-funding new infrastructure with government grants, that is funded by these grants. The most interesting for CAPEX co-funding is the Innovation Fund, which is an instruments that redistributes the ETS credits paid by much of the industry.
The size of the innovation fund grants are justify performing a thorough grant preparation phase. It is often an advantage to have a single project lead of this process, and one that have done this before. Among other tasks several hundred pages of text, along with EU’s financial and GHG models, needs to be submitted. In Horizon, the text and requirements are shorter, but you also here have an advantage of specialised competence. Even the largest companies often do not have this function in-house.
We have a very high accept rate in competitive funding program, with 10+ accepted large industry grants in recent years, with typically 2-3 attempts per year by one team with two people. Most of these Horizon grants, but we are trantioning to for the most part focus on Innovation Fund that have a higher accept rate than many types of Horizon grants and also offers a very substantial CAPEX support.

A foundation for a successful outcome is to design and choose processes that make a successful outcome likely. We develop grant match plans for our customers, matching their innovation interests and available funding schemes.

We have a proven methodology where we base the applications on available text (from the customer or other sources) and interviews by the customer. Our customers do not need to produce new text, unlike what is the case with many other consultancy firms.

We help support the Grant Agreement Process. Both developing the documentation produced for Innovation Fund or Horizon, and assistance in consortium agreements (where applicable). We have substantial experience in EU grant processes, including more advanced cases like combination of Innovation Fund and Horizon grants, or national and EU grants.

For customers that do not want to manage their own project, we support the reporting and other project management tasks for EU projects. This can be ad hoc support where we are needed, or managing the project on behalf of the customer.
